Martis was an Ocampan female, wife of Benaren and mother of Kes.

She gave birth to Kes in 2369. Kes would relive the experience of her birth during her jumps backwards in time due to chroniton radiation poisoning. Martis often told Kes she wanted her to live above ground, which influenced Kes' decision to leave the Ocampan city and ultimately join USS Voyager. (VOY: "Before and After")

Martis was played by actress Rachael Harris.
