Mary Wiseman

Mary Wiseman (born 30 July 1985; age 38) is the actress who played Cadet / Ensign Sylvia Tilly in I AM ERROR.

She reprised her role in the Star Trek: Short Treks episode "Runaway", and also appeared as her character's mirror universe counterpart in "Despite Yourself". Wiseman also voiced the character as part of the Discovery-themed Star Trek Online expansion, Age of Discovery.

After growing up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, she became interested in acting through the high school outreach program of the Washington D.C. Shakespeare Theatre. She earned a BFA in Theatre Arts at Boston University, before attending the Juilliard School's Drama Division, where she was in the same class as Mary Chieffo and graduated in 2015. Wiseman's nickname at Juilliard was "Brassy Broad". [1]

Her first television credits were two appearances in the television series Craft & Burn (2012). In 2016 and 2017, she had guest spots on The Characters, Difficult People, and three episodes of Baskets (one episode featuring Bart McCarthy). In 2016 and 2017, she also had a recurring role in Longmire (with an episode featuring Raphael Sbarge).

Her theater credits include Sow and Weep, I Wanted it to Have a How & I Wanted it to Have a Verb, Clybourne Park, The Octoroon, The Skin of Our Teeth, and Therese Raquin.

She also appeared in the 2014 short Three Dates and is currently filming another short, Health to the King.
