While brainwashed into functioning as a member of the French Resistance in a holographic simulation of World War II France, Neelix mockingly referred to a Nazi officer who had harassed him as a member of the master race. Later a Hirogen participating in the simulation questioned a simulated German captain as to why they believed themselves to be the master race. He answered that it was because their blood was pure, and their people lived and hunted this land for a thousand years before the degenerate races brought their corruption. He added that because of this, he believed Europe must be purified. (VOY: "The Killing Game")
