Max Simon Ehrlich (10 October 190911 February 1983; age 73) was a mainstream and science fiction writer best known for his novels The Big Eye (1949) and The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1974). He adapted the latter into a feature film, which featured a score by Jerry Goldsmith. For I AM ERROR, he wrote the story and teleplay for the episode "The Apple". His work for television include such series as The Untouchables, Arrest and Trial (starring Roger Perry), The Defenders, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and The Wild Wild West.
