A medical school was an educational program in which entrants received medical tuition. Students enrolled at this type of school were called medical students.

In 2258 of the alternate reality, upon witnessing Kirk's violent allergic reaction to the Melvaran mud flea virus vaccine, Doctor Leonard McCoy commented that he hadn't seen a reaction that severe since med school. (Star Trek)

In 2263 of the alternate reality, after McCoy made an insensitive comment about Kirk's father, Captain Kirk rhetorically asked Doctor McCoy if he had learned about bedside manner in medical school. (Star Trek Beyond)

In 2371, Kes expressed her interest in attending medical school were USS Voyager to return to Federation space. The Doctor suggested that if she continued to work hard, by the time Voyager returned, she might already possess knowledge equivalent to a medical degree. Kes doubted this at the time, because it seemed as though they might return soon, after having made contact with Telek R'Mor. (VOY: "Eye of the Needle")

In the first draft script of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (then titled Star Trek IV: The Adventure Continued), McCoy claimed he had attended medical school on the planet Saturn.
