Melinda Culea (born 5 May 1955; age 69) is the actress and former model who portrayed Soren in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "The Outcast". She filmed her scenes between Monday 6 January 1992 and Tuesday 14 January 1992 on Paramount Stage 8, 9, and 16. Culea has acted in a number of other TV roles, mainly during the 1980s and 1990s, notably as the reporter "Triple A" on the A Team.

Biography[]

Some of her early TV roles include appearances on Fantasy Island, The Rules of Marriage (1982) and Dear Teacher (1981).

Culea had a recurring role as the reporter Amy Amanda Allen, or "Triple A" on The A-Team (with Dwight Schultz and Lance LeGault). Culea apparently pressed for a greater role in the series and to be involved in more action sequences, which led to friction with some of the cast, notably George Peppard.

Shortly after leaving The A-Team. After that, she gained a leading role as Terry Randolph in the short-lived series Glitter. Her other most substantial role was playing the recurring character Paula Vertosick on Knots Landing (with Michelle Phillips) for two seasons, from 1988 to 1990.

She made guest appearances on several television series including Family Ties and St. Elsewhere. In 1999 she guest starred in an episode of The X-Files, executive produced by John Shiban, along with Andrew Robinson. She also appeared on Brotherly Love, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Murder, She Wrote.

Movie roles[]

Culea played the role of Constance Taylor in Wagons East (1994, with Star Trek: Voyager stars Ethan Phillips and Robert Picardo, and Charles Rocket and Ed Lauter), directed by her future husband Peter Markle, and played Anna in Dying on the Edge (2001).
