Deletion rationale[]
In addition to the comments at Talk:Battle at Douglas Station, this is essentially a verbatim copy of the episode summary. A really creative writer would be better off integrating this into the Texas class page and the Les Buenamigo page.
Also, we clearly need a more transparent guideline on what constitutes the need for such things, because apparently the long standing "we don't make up battle names" isn't sticking. –Gvsualan (talk) 14:31, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Note: Adding [[Attack on Douglas Station]] to this list. An extremely similar article to the first that just proves the point that these made-up names are trouble. -- Sulfur (talk) 13:33, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
Discussion[]
Perhaps list unnamed conflicts at the woefully incomplete battlefield by location and year? Support deletion. -LauraCC (talk) 15:04, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- I support the deletion of this and other unnecessary event articles, and the establishment of additional standards governing when these types of articles should be made. The lazy text copy-paste on this particular article's just insult on injury. -- UncertainError (talk) 23:35, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
Support, especially when other options are available.LauraCC (talk) 20:08, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
- I support the deletion of this page and agree with UncertainError. There should be a stronger rule against event pages with made-up names. Perhaps this and other pages could be lumped into an "Unnamed conflicts" or "Unnamed military confrontations" page? 🖖 Mr. Starfleet Command (talk • contribs) 13:09, 9 November 2022 (UTC)

Made up "battle of"s[]
These "made up" battle title articles have been a long ongoing issue here really shouldn't be continued to be created, as they essentially equate to fan-wank. The fact that there are two such articles on the pages for deletion is a clear indicator of this problem, and a number of others that have been integrated elsewhere should make this fairly self-evident. Indeed, the title alone is completely inaccurate because the Cali-class ships that are listed here were not directly involved with the so-called "Battle of Douglas Station" because they were at some unspecified located at warp 8 away from the station when they arrived. These really need to stop being made. –Gvsualan (talk) 11:49, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Texas class incident or somesuch may be a more fitting title. Kind regards, -- Markonian 12:01, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
Seriously?[]
What in the holy fuck is this? It's bad enough we already have [[Battle at Douglas Station]], which is already up for deletion discussion, but now this??!! Look around once in a while and stop make up pretend battle name articles. --Gvsualan (talk) 04:28, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
