Deletion rationale[]
Sisko used this phrase as hyperbole, to make a point; it isn't a fictional agency. We deleted a page on the "soulless minions of orthodoxy" here which also was not an actual group. 31dot (talk) 08:21, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
Discussion[]
And yet the USS Lollipop can stay. Can't say I really understand the logic for this stuff... -- Capricorn (talk) 22:40, September 4, 2015 (UTC)
- The Lollipop was part of a deception, not mere hyperbole. 31dot (talk) 02:21, September 5, 2015 (UTC)
Sure, but why allow something made up on the spot for the purposes of deception, but not for the purposes of making a point? It seems completely arbitrary. Mind you, I'm not saying the ministry should stay, just literally saying this reasoning makes no logical sense to me. -- Capricorn (talk) 09:50, September 5, 2015 (UTC)
- Riker at least wanted someone to think that the Lollipop was real; Sisko had no intention or expectation that Dukat would think this was a real agency. He was making a point. That just seems different to me. 31dot (talk) 10:51, September 5, 2015 (UTC)
That's a very good point. Ok then, let's delete this thing. -- Capricorn (talk) 11:38, September 5, 2015 (UTC)
- Keep. The term was mentioned by Sisko and so should have an entry here whether it is fictious or not. We have the Category:Fictional for this and can easily remove the Category:Government. But I see no reason this article should be deleted. Tom (talk) 11:32, September 12, 2015 (UTC)
Admin resolution[]
Deleted per discussion above and two votes for deletion versus one to keep it. Tom (talk) 13:21, September 26, 2015 (UTC)
