The Mexican army was the army of the Earth country of Mexico.
In 1836, the Mexican army, commanded by General Santa Anna, attacked and ultimately captured the Alamo, which was defended by the Texans in the Battle of the Alamo. Julian Bashir mentioned this army in a debate with Miles O'Brien over what would have become of Davy Crockett there. (DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach")
