Michael Blackman is the actor, writer, and director who appeared as a Prytt trooper in the Star Trek: The Next Generation seventh season episode "Attached". He received no credit for this appearance but was identified by the name tag of his costume.

He studied at California State University, Northridge where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Film Production, Screenwriting, and Directing. As an actor, Blackman also appeared in the drama A State of Mind (1998), the drama Slammed (2000), the short drama Passing Resemblance (2002), the thriller Into the Arms of Strangers (2007), the crime drama The Coverup (2008, with John Savage, Colby French, Michael Welch, Ivar Brogger, Gregg Daniel, Michelle Horn, Don McManus, and Patti Yasutake), and the romance The Son of an Afghan Farmer (2012, with Tony Amendola).

His projects as writer, editor, producer, and director include the comedy Strawberry's Letter (2001), the short comedy 22 Days (2010), and the short comedy Directing Reality (2012, with Anthony Montgomery). In 2013, he created the comedy web series Sistah Did What? on which he also worked as editor, director, and executive producer.

More recently, Blackman worked as executive producer on the short drama Fighting for a Second Chance (2017). Since 2005, he has also been the president and founder of the production company OnyxQuest Entertainment, located in Los Angeles, California.
