Mukatis, a skilled martial artist, is probably best known for his role of Taylor in the vampire action films Underworld (2003, story by and featuring Kevin Grevioux, and with Scott McElroy and stunts by Chris Palermo, Nicole Randall, and Mike Gunther) and Underworld: Evolution (2006, also with Scott McElroy, Chris Palermo, Mike Gunther, and Nicole Randall).
His other feature film credits as a stunt performer include the action film Sword of Honor (1994, with Jeff Pruitt and Angelo Tiffe), the thriller Fire Down Below (1997, with Michael Krawic, Scott L. Schwartz, Neal McDonough, Sidney Liufau, and stunts by Edward Conna, Tony Epper, Rosine "Ace" Hatem, Kane Hodder, Tom Lupo, and Anita Hart), the action film Best of the Best: Without Warning (1998, with Jessica Collins and stunts by Ken Clark and Scott Leva), John Carpenter's horror film Ghosts of Mars (2001, with Joanna Cassidy, Marjean Holden, and Rosemary Forsyth), the thriller High Crimes (2002, starring Ashley Judd, Adam Scott, and Bruce Davison), the comic adaptation Daredevil (2003, with Leland Orser and Erick Avari), the sequel The Matrix Reloaded (2003), the science fiction thriller I, Robot (2004, with James Cromwell and Bruce Greenwood, and stunts by Lauro Chartrand and Chris Sayour), the video game action Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004, with stunts by Diana Lee Inosanto), the science fiction film Serenity (2005), the war epos 300 (2006), and the feature Live Free or Die Hard (2007, with Tim Russ).
Mukatis has also performed in a number of television series, including Pensacola: Wings of Gold (starring Kristanna Loken), Charmed, 24, Birds of Prey (starring Dina Meyer and Ian Abercrombie), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2001-2003), Angel (2001-2004), Threshold (starring Brent Spiner), and Moonlight (2007, with Brad Greenquist, Josh Clark, stunts by Paul Scott, and stunt coordination by Noon Orsatti).
His recent 2008 projects are the action film Bonita Beach Bob, the comedy Tropic Thunder (2008, with stunts by Daniel Arrias, Yoshio Iizuka, Lin Oeding, and Xuyen Valdivia), Diana Lee Inosanto's drama The Sensei (with Tzi Ma, Tim Lounibos, Spice Williams, and Rosine "Ace" Hatem), and the up for 2009 science fiction film Repossession Mambo.
