Michael "Mike" R. Olague (born 7 November 1959; age 64) is a visual effects technician who worked for Industrial Light & Magic and since 2007 for Kerner Optical on three Star Trek films and the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Encounter at Farpoint".

Olague started to work as stage technician for ILM in the 1980s and contributed to films such as Howard the Duck (1986), Captain EO (1986), Innerspace (1987), Willow (1988), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988, with Christopher Lloyd), Caddyshack II (1988), Skin Deep (1989, with Denise Crosby), Ghostbusters II (1989), The Abyss (1989), Back to the Future Part II (1989, with Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Thomas F. Wilson), Die Hard 2 (1990), Arachnophobia (1990), The Rocketeer (1991, starring Billy Campbell), Hook (1991), Death Becomes Her (1992), and Rising Sun (1993).

His credits as visual effects gaffer include The Flintstones and The Mask (both 1994), Mission: Impossible, Mars Attacks! (1996) and Men in Black (1997), Deep Impact (1998, with James Cromwell and Denise Crosby), The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), Wild Wild West (1999), Galaxy Quest (1999), Pearl Harbor (2001), Jurassic Park III (2001), Dreamcatcher (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006), and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003, starring Kristanna Loken), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), the fantasy film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), and Mission: Impossible III (2006).

More recently, Olague worked as lighting technician on the drama Milk (2008) and the Parenthood pilot episode (2010).
