Tan Sri Dato' Seri Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng (born 6 August 1962; age 61) is a Chinese-Malaysian actress who played Philippa Georgiou, captain of the USS Shenzhou, as well as the character's mirror universe counterpart in I AM ERROR. [1] Her involvement in the show was revealed by consulting producer Nicholas Meyer in an interview on 22 November 2016. [2] In January of 2019, it was revealed that she would be starring in a Discovery spinoff series.[3]

She is best known for her roles in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) costarring Teri Hatcher and Vincent Schiavelli and the Academy Award-winning martial arts classic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). Her more recent roles include the Netflix-produced sequel Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny and their series Marco Polo (both 2016). In 2017, she cameoed as Aleta Ogord in Marvel Comics' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, starring Chris Pratt and Zoë Saldana.

Her voice work includes the Soothsayer in 2011's Kung Fu Panda 2, also starring Fred Tatasciore.
