A microwave oven was a type of oven that utilized microwaves to cook food.

According to an anything but canon account, a certain humanoid race that the USS Enterprise made first contact with considered leftover fish cooked in a microwave to be their national dish. They even liked to put sauce on it, which was actually their own mucus. (VST: "Worst Contact")
JR, Roo and Sprocket had a microwave oven that they intended to use in their asteroid deflector, but they were unable to beam it into space, because their deflector was clogged with butter.
