Miro Skandera is a Previzualization/Digital Artist who worked as Matchmove Artist for Pixomondo on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness between 2012 and 2013. More recently, he worked as Previsualization Artist on the 2016 sequel Star Trek Beyond since April 2015. [1]

Skandera earned an animation certificate from Santa Monica College in 2008 and studied character animation until 2010. During this time he worked as quality assurance for Electronic Arts on the video game Red Alert 3. He then worked as matchmove artist for Sassoon Film Design on projects such as the fantasy sequel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011), the comic adaptations The Green Hornet (2011) and The Smurfs (2011), and the fantasy film Immortals (2011).

After he worked as Post-visualization artist for The Third Floor in 2012 on the fantasy adventure Oz the Great and Powerful, Skandera joined Pixomondo where he worked as matchmove artist on the action sequel A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), the science fiction films Oblivion (2013) and After Earth (2013), Justin Lin's action sequel Furious 6 (2013), and the television series Sleepy Hollow (2013-2014, co-created by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci).

More recent projects as previs artist include the sequels Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), the comic reboot Fantastic Four (2015), the fantasy adventure Pan (2015), the adventure Goosebumps (2015), and the animated film Monster Trucks (2015).
