The Monaveen-type was a class of cruiser utilized by the Hysperians during the late 24th century.

Technical specifications[]

While this type of ship was warp driven, and possessed such standard advanced technologies as transporters and force fields, it also utilized a number of antiquated technologies, such as sconces with open flames, and large wooden doors that were opened manually. The Monaveen also had stables, located in the ship's ventral line, in which horses were kept. There was also an area for keeping a dragon, which was located near the ship's center.

Docking between ships was completed through the use of a structure that was comparable to an evacuation corridor. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")

Interior design[]

Bridge[]

Monaveen bridge

The ship's bridge

The bridge was located at the center of the ship. It consisted of a two-level design, with two curved staircases that led to the command center. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")

Main engineering[]

Monaveen engineering

The ship's main engineering

Main engineering was centrally located on the starboard side of the ship, directly off the upper level of the bridge; it was maintained by the chief blacksmith, who also oversaw the ship's royal engineers.

It housed the ship's "dragonbreath engines" and other various components, such as the "dragonsblood flame", known as the primary fusion reactor to those in the Federation, which worked in conjunction with the ship's "elf matrix", otherwise known as the subspace field matrix. The reactor also contained the ship's plasma regulators and resonators, which were responsible for regulating the plasma levels. The drive itself was designed to resemble the head of a dragon. The location of Section 8 on an MSD

Section 8 of the ship contained a corridor lined with suits of knights' armor (or statues resembling knights), and a room with a banquet table, comparable to a mess hall. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")
