Male humanoid mouth

A Human mouth

The mouth was the opening of the body through which most species were able to communicate or absorb food. The tongue, palate, and teeth could be found inside a Human mouth, which also produced saliva. (TNG: "Family"; VOY: "Threshold", "Revulsion") Some species and birds had a beak, an external attachment to their mouth. (DS9: "Q-Less", "The Forsaken"; VOY: "The Raven") The mouth was vital for performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. (TOS: "The Paradise Syndrome")
