Nairobi was the capital city of Kenya in the continent of Africa on Earth.
Doctor April Wade worked at the University of Nairobi in 2371 when she was nominated for the Carrington Award.
When Quark doubted Dr. Bashir's abilities in finding out what was wrong with Zek, Quark threatened to make an appointment for the Grand Nagus with Dr. Wade. Bashir egged him on by noting that Nairobi was beautiful during that time of year. (DS9: "Prophet Motive")
