Naked Time

Naked Time was one of the holopod simulations presented by Shari yn Yem during the drills she conducted aboard the USS Cerritos in 2381. According to Yem, the simulation was based on the experiences of various other Starfleet crews, however, unknown to the crew, Yem had tampered with the holo-program so that the entire crew would fail.

The simulation involved the crew of the Cerritos being afflicted with polywater intoxication and succumbing to their base sexual urges. Rather than resolve the situation, Ensign Beckett Mariner chose to fail intentionally by blowing herself out an airlock.

Sexual pairings in the orgy that appeared in the simulation included Jennifer Sh'reyan with Barnes, Carol Freeman with Migleemo, T'Ana with Shaxs, and Jack Ransom with Steve Stevens. Brad Boimler, Jet Manhaver, Andy Billups, and Westlake were also among those Mariner saw naked in the simulation.

Mariner later imagined the uniformed Shaxs stretching in the nude during the later simulation, Escape from Spacedock, which briefly disturbed her. (LD: "I, Excretus")

This simulation was likely inspired by the events of TOS: "The Naked Time" and TNG: "The Naked Now". Mariner's "solution" to the program mirrors the fate of the bridge crew of the SS Tsiolkovsky in the latter episode.
