Nehru colony was a Federation colony near Deep Space 9.
In 2369, Jadzia Dax ordered the computer of the space station Deep Space 9 to create a historical database for all known wormhole activity. The computer requested indication for time parameters, to which she replied all known occurences. For completion of the function, the computer needed subspace link-ups with Federation computers. She then ordered the creation of subspace links with the Nehru colony, New France colony, and Corado I transmitter array. Her request was part of a plan of overloading the computer after it was learned that the software lifeform Pup was disabling the facility. When the plan was successful, Pup was manually transferred to six isolinear rods. (DS9: "The Forsaken")

Background information[]
This colony was only mentioned in dialogue.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47, "United Federation of Planets I") and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), there was a star system named Nehru, which might possibly be the location of this colony, in the Alpha Quadrant. It was a binary system with a pair of A-class stars. By 2378, the colony had become a member of the Federation.
Apocrypha[]
According to the novel Watching the Clock, the future Department of Temporal Investigations agent Dulmur lived on Nehru Colony with his then wife Megumi in 2364. Two of the colony's cities, Motilal City and Indira City, were named after Nehru's father Motilal Nehru and daughter Indira Gandhi respectively.
