New Jersey (also known as Jersey) was a region located on the Atlantic coast of the North American continent of Earth. This was a state in the United States of America. The border states were Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania. Trenton was the capitol. It was one of the original thirteen states of the United States, and was mentioned in Article I of the United States Constitution. Another New Jersey city, Princeton, was indirectly referenced through Princeton University.
On February 17, 1986, Tommy Raymond was born in Secaucus. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")
Starfleet named a Constitution-class starship, the USS New Jersey, after the state. The New Jersey was eventually displayed as a museum ship at the Fleet Museum at Athan Prime after its decommissioning. (PIC: "The Bounty")

In 2368, Berlinghoff Rasmussen, a 22nd century Human, had programmed a 26th century time-pod for a return course to New Jersey. (TNG: "A Matter Of Time")
Intrigued with Odo's appearance, holodeck character Tony Cicci asked Odo where he was from. Odo responded that he was from Bajor; a location that Cicci unknowingly thought was located in "Jersey". (DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang")
In 1944 of an alternate timeline, in which Nazi Germany, with the help of the time-traveling Na'kuhl, had conquered the northeastern United States, Enterprise, monitoring an American counteroffensive from orbit, detected fighting a hundred kilometers south of New York City – while never mentioned by name, the geography of the United States would place this in mid-New Jersey. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")
In the original episode "The Neutral Zone", Edward Raymond and Tommy Raymond, the sons of Donald Raymond and Clare Raymond, were born in Secaucus in the late 1980s. In the remastered episode, they were born in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Omega IV[]
On the planet Omega IV, this was one of the states of a parallel United States. It was mentioned in Article I of their Constitution. (TOS: "The Omega Glory")
Literature[]
In The Big Good-Bye, Detective Jim Tierney had set up residence in the Northern Valley, a region in this state. Tierney was licensed by the state as a crime investigator. (TNG: "The Big Goodbye")
The pages seen in the episode were actually from the detective novel, The Listening Man, by author John A. Moroso. This novel was published in 1924. Information on New Jersey was from page 108.
New Jersey was identified by its abbreviation, N.J., on a map of the United States (Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika). The contours of the state were seen in the map of the United States in "Little Green Men".
A deleted scene from ENT: "Storm Front" revealed that Sal had a sister in Jersey.
