Nicholas Kepros (8 November 1932–26 January 2023; age 90) [1] was the actor who played Movar in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth and fifth season episodes "Redemption" and "Redemption II". He filmed his scenes for "Redemption" on Thursday 18 April 1991 on Paramount Stage 16 and for "Redemption II" on Thursday 11 July 1991 and Monday 15 July 1991 on Paramount Stage 16.
He appeared in a handful of films, most notably Amadeus (1984, starring Star Trek: Insurrection actor F. Murray Abraham). Other films and made-for-television movies he appeared in include Grace Quigley (1984, with Sherman Howard), Apology (1986, with Peter Weller and John Glover), The Sicilian (1987, with Andreas Katsulas), Quiz Show (1994, with Christopher McDonald, Paul Guilfoyle, David Paymer, Jeffrey Nordling and Hélène Cardona), and The Associate (1996, starring Whoopi Goldberg and Bebe Neuwirth).
He also had a role in George Washington II: The Forging of a Nation (1986, with Daniel Davis). Kepros guest starred in episodes of Spenser: For Hire (1986, starring Avery Brooks) and The Golden Girls (1991, with Leland Orser, Tony Plana and Claudette Sutherland).
In 1983, he played the voice of Captain Needa in the NPR The Empire Strikes Back Radio Drama.
