Nick Borgani (6 September 190411 March 1987; age 82) was an actor who appeared as an Iotian gang leader in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "A Piece of the Action". He filmed his scenes on Friday 3 November 1967 at Desilu Stage 11. As a background performer, he was not credited for the role.

Born in Italy as Nicola Cantacessi, he immigrated to the United States with his family which had been active in the movie industry since the early days of the business. Despite speaking with a heavy accent, he found steady employment in films as a bit and background actor due to his "exotic" appearance which made him ideal for "European" and "South American" roles.

Between the 1930s and the 1980s, he appeared in bit and background roles in over 190 films and television episodes, usually playing waiters, bartenders, hotel managers and townsmen. He can be seen in films like Bob Hope's The Paleface (1948, with Sam Bagley, Noble Chissell, William Meader and Eleanore Vogel), The War of the Worlds (1953, with Dick Cherney, Jane Crowley, William Meader, David Sharpe, Charles J. Stewart and Arthur Tovey), Rear Window (1954), Sweet Smell of Success (1957, with Dick Cherney, Larry Dobkin, John Fiedler, Jane Ross and Arthur Tovey), Marriage on the Rocks (1965, with DeForest Kelley and William Meader), Our Man Flint (1966, with Peter Brocco, Roy Jenson, Chuck Hicks, Glenn R. Wilder and Shep Houghton), Hello, Dolly!
