During the Battle near Xahea, he managed the Enterprise's communications to the fleet, and sent information on the undetonated photon torpedo that had pierced the hull down to Admiral Katrina Cornwell. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2")
By 2259, Nicola was no longer serving aboard the Enterprise as communications officer. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")
Nicola was portrayed by Chai Valladares.
The novel The Enterprise War gives his first name as Vicente.
