Nijil was a scientist in the Romulan military during the 22nd century.

In November of 2154, Nijil worked with Admiral Valdore on Romulus on controlling the Romulan drone ship. The Star Empire was using the drone to destabilize relations between the Andorians, Tellarites, Humans, Rigelians, and other races. Nijil was responsible for the actual operation and control of the ship. Nijil helped control the pilot, Gareb, an Aenar who used his telepathic abilities to pilot the ships. Nijil was concerned about him because Gareb had become mentally fatigued. Nijil was able to convince Valdore to allow the pilot to rest, but was also ordered to increase the pilot's stimulants. Nijil worried that the increased drugs would cause the pilot to die, resulting in the end of their mission.

When Valdore ordered a second drone ship to target the Starfleet vessel, Nijil objected, believing that more force was not required, and that the strain could kill the pilot. Valdore demanded that Nijil follow his orders and the scientist eventually complied. Nijil lost control of the ships when Gareb destroyed them with help from his sister, Jhamel, who was on Enterprise.

Nijil was played by J. Michael Flynn.
Flynn's boots were sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]
