Background information

- The story features cameos from Koloth, Kirk, and Spock. It also features the "Klingon stooges" Kho, L'Ray, and Xhemp, and an Indiana Jones parody.
- The cover was an homage to National Lampoon's classic "Buy this issue or the dog gets it" cover, and the idea was suggested by editor Tim Tuohy. [1]
- The title of this story is a reference to the song Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen.
