Obi Ndefo (29 October 197228 August 2024; age 51) was an actor who played Drex in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fourth season episode "The Way of the Warrior" and Kelemane in the Star Trek: Voyager sixth season episode "Blink of an Eye".

Ndefo was born in Los Angeles to Nigerian parents and graduated from drama at Yale University in 1997. He is probably best known for his recurring roles in Stargate SG-1 (with Tony Amendola and Rick Worthy) and Dawson's Creek.

Ndefo also guest starred in 3rd Rock from the Sun (with Jim Beaver), The West Wing, Angel, and NYPD Blue (with Gordon Clapp and John Cothran, Jr.). He had also been a yoga teacher and co-founded a nonprofit arts education program, Arts Alliance for Humanity, based at the Santa Monica Playhouse.

On August 17, 2019, Ndefo was struck by a drunk hit-and-run driver in the parking lot of a grocery store in Los Angeles and both of his legs had to be amputated above the knee. [1]

Following his accident, Ndefo guest starred in an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles (with Cary-Hiroyuki) in 2021.

He passed away on 28 August 2024 at the age of 51. [2]
