An oil lamp was a type of lighting that ran on oil.

In 2151, the Akaali Riaan recalled that an oil lamp nearby had at least a liter of residic oil in the container below, and could be used as an incendiary device against the Malurians. (ENT: "Civilization")

Eight of the wrought-iron torchères seen under these lamps were later sold off at the 40 Years of Star Trek: The Collection auction at Christie's. [1]
