Omega Cygni was an inhabited planet in the Alpha Quadrant, and the homeworld of the Omega Cygni natives.
In the mid-23rd century, Harry Mudd visited Omega Cygni, where he turned a handsome profit selling the natives their own oceans. (TAS: "Mudd's Passion")
In 2293, the location of Omega Cygni in the Milky Way Galaxy was labeled in a star chart that was in Captain James T. Kirk's quarters aboard the USS Enterprise-A. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, okudagram)
Appendices[]
Background information[]
This planet was only mentioned in dialogue.
There is a typo on the "Explored Galaxy" image, and the planet's name written there is "Omega Cyngi".
According to the final draft of the script for TAS: "The Time Trap", Star Trek Concordance (p. 290), Star Trek Log 4 and Star Trek: SCE, Magen was from a planet located in the Omega Cygni system.
In the novelization of "Mudd's Passion" in Star Trek Log 3, the name "Omega VII" was used of this planet.
Apocrypha[]
The novels Beneath the Raptor's Wing and Synthesis suggest that Omega Cygni was related to Cygnet XIV.
