Ophiuchus (Latin for serpent holder) was a large constellation visible from Earth's northern hemisphere. The brightest star in the constellation was Rasalhague; the nearest star to Sol in the constellation was Barnard's Star. Astronomical objects in this constellation were located in the Alpha Quadrant.
