The Orb of Contemplation
The Orb of Contemplation was one of the nine original orbs sent by the Prophets out of the Bajoran wormhole.
In 2374, it was housed in the Bajoran Temple on Deep Space 9. Jadzia Dax was in the temple, praying to the Prophets through the orb, when Gul Dukat, possessed by a Pah-wraith transported into the shrine. He fatally wounded Jadzia before releasing the Wraith into the orb. This allowed the Pah-Wraith to enter the wormhole, collapsing its entrance and starting a celestial war between the Prophets and the Pah-wraith. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")
According to the Prophecy and Change short story "The Orb of Opportunity", the Orb of Contemplation was returned to the Bajorans just after "Life Support".
