Otto Feuer (21 December 1907 – 18 December 1998; age 90) [1] was a cartoonist employed at Filmation studios as an animator on Star Trek: The Animated Series.
Feuer was born in Germany, and emigrated to the United States in 1925, his animation career was in full swing in 1930, where he worked in advertising as a commercial artist while living in the Bronx, NYC.
His work in animated films spanned from 1936 to 1977. In 1940, he lived in Miami, Florida, and was employed by Fleischer Studios Inc, where he worked on such animated shorts as Betty Boop, Superman, and Popeye. After moving to California in 1945, he worked briefly as a cosmetologist, specifically a hairdresser. He was later a member of The Animation Guild Local 839 IATSE.
He died on 18 December 1998 in Newhall, Santa Clarita, California.
