Pahvo was a forested planet in the Pahvo system, with two moons. This system was located in the Beta Quadrant. Pahvo was inhabited by the Pahvans, who lived in total harmony with their world.

Every tree, rock, and blade of grass on the planet vibrated with a distinct tone, combining into a unique sound that was ubiquitous on the surface. This "music" was even broadcast into space by a massive crystal transmitter.

The crystal transmitter on Pahvo

In 2256, the USS Discovery sent a landing party consisting of Commander Saru, Michael Burnham, and Lieutenant Ash Tyler to modify the transmitter to detect cloaked Klingon ships. They made first contact with the Pahvans, who consequently decided to help bring harmony to the Federation-Klingon War by sending a signal inviting both parties to Pahvo. The Sarcophagus subsequently arrived at the planet, with the intention of destroying it and the Pahvans. In the ensuing battle, the Discovery devised a way to penetrate the Sarcophagus's cloak, and destroy it. (DIS: "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum", "Into the Forest I Go")

In 2399, the location of Pahvo was labeled on a star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")
