Parley Baer (5 August 1914 – 22 November 2002; age 88) was an actor who played an old man in the Star Trek: Voyager third season episode "Sacred Ground".
He appeared in numerous film and television projects, but is perhaps best known for giving voice to the elf Ernie Keebler in the Keebler cookie commercials. He was a veteran of radio in the 1940s and 1950s, notably playing deputy Chester Proudfoot on Gunsmoke (with Vic Perrin and Lawrence Dobkin), Pete the marshal on the sitcom The Harold Peary Show, and various roles on Escape. In television, he appeared as Darby on The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet (1955-1961), and Roy Stoner, the mayor of Mayberry, on The Andy Griffith Show (1962-63). In 1991, Baer guest starred on Beverly Hills, 90210 with Keene Curtis and Ann Gillespie. He also guest-starred with Curtis in Three's Company – even though they did not appear in the same episode. The same year he appeared in an episode of Quantum Leap, which starred Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell, and featured Anne Haney and again in 1992, along with James Greene, Stephen Lee, Fran Bennett, Meg Foster, Heather Lauren Olson, and Kimberly Cullum.
In 1993, he had a supporting role in Dave along with Frank Langella, Stefan Gierasch, Charles Hallahan, Stephen Root, Dawn Arnemann, Dendrie Taylor, Paul Collins, Peter White, Robin Gammell, Dan Butler, Tory Christopher, and Pam Pruitt-McGeary.
