Patric J. Abaravich (born 17 March 1954; age 70) is an electrician and lighting technician in the camera and electrical department who worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, and several Star Trek films. For most of his work he received no credit.
Abaravich worked as gaffer, technician, electrician, and chief lighting technician on a number of projects including The Happy Hooker Goes to Washington (1977), the television movie Rage (1983, with Seymour Cassel), Monster in the Closet (1986), Thunder Run (1986), the war drama Vengeance of a Soldier (1986), Omega Syndrome (1987), Night Screams (1988), Two Moon Junction (1988, with Louise Fletcher), Silent Assassins (1988), Phantasm II (1988), the television series Tales from the Crypt (1989), Chrome Hearts (1989, with Lycia Naff), Tango & Cash (1989, with Teri Hatcher), Spaced Invaders (1990), Another 48 Hrs. (1990), The Fanelli Boys (1990-1991), Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991), Wayne's World (1992), Wayne's World 2 (1993), Coneheads (1993), Forrest Gump (1994), Clear and Present Danger (1994), Primal Fear (1996), Fired Up (1997-1998, with Sharon Lawrence and Jonathan Banks), Face/Off (1997), Kiss the Girls (1997, starring Ashley Judd), and The Truman Show (1998).
More recent credits as rigging chief lighting technician include Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) and Medical Investigation (2004-2005, starring Neal McDonough) and Brannon Braga's Threshold (2005-2006, with Brent Spiner).
