Patricia McPherson (born 27 November 1954; age 69) portrayed Ariel in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Angel One". Hailing from Oak Harbor, Washington, she is well known for her role of Bonnie Barstow in Knight Rider between 1982 and 1986, also starring William Daniels. Fellow Next Generation actor Peter Parros was also a regular on the last season of the series.

McPherson started her acting career with a featured background part as a pretty woman in The Stunt Man (1980, alongside Adam Roarke, George D. Wallace, Tom Morga, Erik Cord, and Gary Baxley). The following year she was featured in the drama The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice (1981, with William Marshall and Jay Robinson), the television drama Concrete Beat (1984, directed by Robert Butler), Prime Risk (1985, with Biff Yeager and Carey Scott), and Aftershock (1990, with James Lew, Matthias Hues, Michael Berryman, Richard Lynch, Ron Althoff, Pat McGroarty, and Lauro Chartrand).

She also worked on other television series and had guest roles in Starman (1986, with Michael Cavanaugh and Kenneth Tobey), MacGyver (1986, with Bruce McGill, Gregory Sierra, David Michael Graves, Vince Deadrick, Jr., and directed by Charles Correll), Dynasty (1987, with Joan Collins, Carolyne Barry, and Tom Schanley), Murder, She Wrote (1990, with music by David Bell), and a double episode of Matlock (1991, with Dion Anderson, Michael Ensign, Anne Haney, Cyril O'Reilly, Judith Jones, Bruce Gray, Randal Patrick, William Newman, and Kay E. Kuter).

After having been an actress, model, and magazine graphic artist, McPherson retired in 1991 and is engaging herself in conserving wildlife and forests. [1]
