The Peljenites were a space-faring species.
In 2371, Benjamin Sisko was able to persuade them to exchange ambassadors with the United Federation of Planets. The success with the Peljenites put Sisko in a good mood. (DS9: "Family Business")
This species was only mentioned in dialogue.
