In 2364, Admiral Mark Jameson lived in semi-retirement on Persephone V prior to being called into service to help with hostage negotiations on Mordan IV. (TNG: "Too Short a Season")

The episode's script describes Persephone V as being reddish in color, rather than the green planet seen in the final product.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), in 2378, Persephone V was a Federation member.
