In 2375, Tuvok, Tom Paris, The Doctor, and Noss came under attack from photon grenades while trapped in a subspace pocket. It is unlikely a photon grenade works on the same principal as a photon torpedo. A matter-antimatter interaction produces 180 Petajoules per kilogram; equivalent to a 43 Megaton nuclear bomb. A gram equivalent to 43 kiloton bomb.
