The Pike was a Federation Type 15 shuttlepod that was in service to Starfleet in the mid-24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D. It was shuttlepod number 12.
In 2366, the Pike was destroyed while on a mission piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Data. It had been sabotaged by merchant Kivas Fajo, who made it appear as if Data also perished in the explosion. (TNG: "The Most Toys")
