The Piller was a Federation Type 6 shuttlecraft that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D.
In 2368, the Piller was in the main shuttlebay when it was decompressed to kick the Enterprise free of a collision with the USS Bozeman. (TNG: "Cause And Effect")
The Piller was named for producer Michael Piller.
The name was not legible on screen, but placed on one of the shuttles by modelmaker Ed Miarecki. [1](X)
