A plague was an outbreak of an infectious disease that affected people over an extensive geographical area, otherwise known as a pandemic. There were also specific infectious diseases that were given the name plague.

- Terrellian plague (ENT: "Singularity" and VOY: "Message in a Bottle")
- Dramia II plague (TAS: "Albatross")
- Ornaran plague (TNG: "Symbiosis")
- Phyrox plague (TNG: "Allegiance")
- Plasma plague (TNG: "The Child")
- Rudellian plague (DS9: "Rules of Engagement")
- Teplan blight (DS9: "The Quickening")
