Plix Tixiplik was a Reegrunion male who lived during the mid-24th century.

He was employed as a miner on Harod IV until 2368, when he and his fellow alien miners became stranded on the planet. He was picked up by the USS Enterprise-D and transported to their next destination aboard the ship at the same time as Kamala was transported aboard the ship.

When Kamala, a Kriosian empathic metamorph entered Ten Forward, she caused quite a stir among the miners because of her beauty. They quickly surrounded her and said suggestive things, to which Data called them rude. For a short time, Kamala adopted the rough personality that appealed to the visiting miners. She egged them on by asking what drink they like. When they replied Aldorian ale, she said that it was her favorite too. Data, who was assigned to be her chaperone, sensed trouble and escorted her out, with the assistance of Worf who intimidated the miners. (TNG: "The Perfect Mate")

In 2370, Tixiplik became a recent addition to Constable Odo's wanted posters around stardate 47390. According to Odo's bulletin: he was "wanted in seven star systems for illegal weapon sales."

While taken to the security office, Nog found the name odd. Having read Tixiplik's data, he then inadvertently noted how very profitable weapon sales were. He further implicated his Uncle Quark for his knowledge of the subject, moments before Quark entered and saved his nephew from further embarrassment. (DS9: "Sanctuary")

Background[]

Tixiplik was portrayed by an unknown actor (likely with the last name Gregory, Wilson, or Lynch) who received no credit for his role. His original scene was filmed on Friday 21 February 1992 on Paramount Stage 8, were he was listed as an "Alien Miner" on the call sheet.

The wanted poster in Odo's security office was a reuse of said actor's continuity photo, which appeared in several more episodes.
