A tract or plot was a section of land owned by an individual.
In 2366, Jean-Luc Picard explained to "Kevin Uxbridge" that the very presence of his plot of land on Rana IV, as well as the Uxbridge house and his and Rishon's own existence were "incongruities that you were not prepared to explain", hence Kevin's drastic actions. (TNG: "The Survivors")
In 2371, Lupaza claimed that the soil on her tract was more toxic that that of any tract within a hundred kilometers of hers. (DS9: "Shakaar")
