Polaris (the "North Star" or Alpha Ursae Minoris) was the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor. It was orbited by at least twelve planets, including Polaris XII. (ENT: "Home"; SNW: "Through the Lens of Time")

In 2154, Jonathan Archer used Polaris as a reference when pointing out 61 Ursae Majoris to Hernandez. (ENT: "Home")
