The actors on location for "Terra Nova"

The Polsa Rosa Ranch is a filming location in Acton, California which was used during the production of the Star Trek: Enterprise first season episode "Terra Nova". The ranch is located at 5726 Soledad Canyon Rd, Acton, CA 93510, USA. [1] [2]

The Polsa Rosa Ranch has served as filming location for movies, television, and other productions since the early 1970s. [3] The "ghost town" set of the ranch was prominently featured in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first season episode "The Magical Place" (2014, with Cullen Douglas and Ron Glass) and in the Westworld first season episode "Chestnut" (2016, with Clifton Collins, Jr., Josh Clark, and Granville Ames, and executive produced by J.J. Abrams). [4]

The water tank of the movie ranch was used for underwater scenes of James Cameron's blockbuster Titanic (1997, with David Warner, Victor Garber, Nicholas Cascone, Michael Ensign, Jenette Goldstein, Mark Rafael Truitt, Barry Dennen, Tricia O'Neil, Shay Duffin, Greg Ellis, and Johnny Martin). [5] During the production of the Western remake of The Lone Ranger in September 2012, a water tank cleaner drowned on set while preparing the tank. [6] [7]

Other projects which were filmed at the Polsa Rosa Ranch include the horror comedy Army of Darkness (1992, with Ian Abercrombie, Patricia Tallman, Rad Milo, and Jerry Rector), the Western The Outsider (1994, screenplay and story by and starring Grainger Hines), the short drama Chicken Night (2001), the horror film Curse of the Forty-Niner (2002, with Richard Lynch and Jeff Conaway), the war drama Windtalkers (2002), the drama Adaptation.
