- British actor Ben Cross, who portrayed Sarek in 2009's Star Trek has died at the age of 72, after a short illness. [1]

- The first season of Star Trek: Picard is nominated for five Emmy Awards in the technical categories. Additionally, the second season of Star Trek: Short Treks picked up a major Emmy Award nomination in the category "Outstanding Short Form Comedy Or Drama Series", [2] the fifth time Star Trek is nominated for one after Star Trek: The Next Generation's nomination in 1994, but only won by Star Trek: The Animated Series in 1975.
