Prak's Marauder was a Ferengi D'Kora-class transport ship that was in service during the late 24th century. This ship was under the command of DaiMon Prak in 2370.
Around stardate 47300 this Ferengi trader passed through the Hekaras Corridor, where it detected what appeared to be a Federation signal buoy. When they approached it, the buoy emitted a massive verteron pulse, which overloaded the vessel's field coils, disabling the warp drive, sensors, and communications systems.
A week later the ship was discovered by the USS Enterprise-D, who suspected the ship of hijacking the Fleming, a missing Federation medical transport. Limited to impulse power only, it "played dead" until the Enterprise-D was within range, when it opened fire, inflicting minor damage.
After discussing the situation, Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise-D, offered to assist in the ship's repairs, in exchange for sensor logs on the Fleming, which it had passed several days earlier. (TNG: "Force of Nature")
