A prince was a noble title held by a male individual of the royal blood who had the capacity to serve as the heir under a king. The title of prince is relative to the feminine title of princess.

The Shakespearean play Hamlet revolved around Hamlet, a prince of Denmark. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King")

A Nechani text told the story of a prince, son of king Nevad, who accidentally wandered into the Nechisti shrine and fell into a "death sleep." He was saved by his father undergoing a purification ritual. (VOY: "Sacred Ground")

One Arab prince coined the proverb "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", only to be betrayed and decapitated by his own subjects. (Star Trek Into Darkness)

During the Eugenics Wars on Earth during the late 20th century, Khan Noonien Singh considered himself a self-proclaimed prince "with power over millions." (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)

After arranging a coronation for himself, where former Starfleet Captain Garth proclaimed himself "Lord Garth", he suggested that James Kirk be his crown prince and therefore heir apparent. (TOS: "Whom Gods Destroy")

Tchar was the hereditary prince of the Skorr and master of the Eyrie. (TAS: "The Jihad")

When a group of augments listened to a speech by Damar in 2374, they deduced from his speech a series of past events involving Damar, Weyoun, Dukat, and Tora Ziyal. In their allegorical version, Weyoun was the dark prince bringing Damar to power. (DS9: "Statistical Probabilities")

The same year, the Leonardo da Vinci hologram considered his patron, Tau, the prince of his city. (VOY: "Concerning Flight")

Also that year, Hain nearly convinced Quark that Morn had been the crown prince of Luria and that his latinum was the property of Luria's Royal Family. Those things, however, were later proven untrue. (DS9: "Who Mourns for Morn?")
