In 2364, Lieutenant Commander Data viewed a mission order associated with a ship of this class. (TNG: "Conspiracy")
This class name of ship design originally appeared in the Spaceflight Chronology, pg. 150. [1] It was presented in the onscreen graphic as two of these ships joined together end-to-end.
As this ship appeared in the mission order for the USS Atlantis, the Atlantis might be of this class.
